Picking Your Hotel

Choosing your hotel is an important aspect of attending a conference. Most times, people choose the hotel where the event is being hosted. It definitely has it pros. Being able to stay in the same place as the event you're attending will allow you easy access to those events, you can easily make those late night workshops, and you never have to worry about traffic causing you to run late.

However, there are some down sides. The cost of the hotel may be more than you'd like to spend. It may be lacking in certain amenities that would make your stay more enjoyable. It might also keep you from seeing the city and venturing out to find source material.

Choosing a Writer's Event

Many of us know that there are a wealth of writer events out there in the world. Some as close as in your own state. Some halfway across the world. With so many to choose from, how do you decide where to spend your time, and more limiting, your money?

Well, it all depends on what you want.

While having the money to travel to the conference is definitely a factor, it shouldn't be the first item on your list.
